The Supportive Employment (SE) specialist will work with the team to recognize and target symptoms of mental illness that interfere with work. The SE specialist will also plan and provide work-related supportive services (assistance with hygiene, securing appropriate clothing, wake-up calls, transportation, etc.), teach job-seeking skills, provide benefits counseling, job coaching, problem-solving, and support on and off the job site. The SE specialist will provide individual vocational counseling to enable patients to identify vocational strengths and problems, establish vocational career goals and a plan to reach those goals. The SE specialist will also coordinate activities with Vocational Rehab and other employment services. This position provides on-call back up on a rotating basis, as well as, weekend and Holiday coverage on a rotating basis. Bachelor’s degree in human services field with one-year experience preferred. Candidates must possess the interest and ability to work with adults who have severe and persistent mental illness as well as the ability to assess emergency situations and react in an appropriate and therapeutic manner.

Positions available for LPN to work as part of Southwestern’s interdisciplinary treatment team. This position will work closely with physicians to deliver outpatient clinic services. Responsibilities include collection of patient information; provide routine patient instructions and screening, maintenance of electronic data, and coordination of care with other providers. Applicant must have a current Indiana LPN license and be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Previous physician office experience is desirable.

Full time (2nd shift) and several part-time (2nd & 3rd shift) mental health technician positions are available to work in our group homes with patient residents. We offer an individualized orientation program to help you learn how to effectively work with our residents. Applicants must be 21 years of age with a High School diploma or GED. Applicants must also qualify for Southwestern’s vehicle liability coverage and have a valid operator’s driver’s license.

A full time position is available at our Mt. Vernon Office for a therapist to work in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include providing individual, family, and group therapy to children and adults. Position also provides clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment services to assigned outpatient populations to insure the delivery of excellent patient care. Must hold a Masters in Social Work and become licensed as an LCSW.

One full-time position is available for an RN as part of Southwestern’s interdisciplinary treatment team primarily working with Addiction Services. Primary business hours Monday – Friday with minimal weekend on-call hours, if needed. Responsibilities include serving as the professional nursing link between patient and physicians, pharmacist, case managers, therapist and other care providers. Duties include patient screenings and providing education to patients and staff regarding physical needs medications, wellness and safety. Applicants must have a current Indiana RN license and be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Experience working with patients in recovery is desirable.

The Employment Training Specialist will work as part of an interdisciplinary team focused on job placement and case management for patients with serious and persistent mental illness. Assist in the development of job placements in the competitive work force. Responsible for orienting, training, coaching and supporting individuals in an effort to make the placements successful. Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field. Previous experience assessing and training persons with mental illness desirable and/or experience in the field of supported employment. Must be able to work flexible hours and respond by phone.

Hillcrest Washington Youth Home, Inc.

Part-time positions available. Must be flexible to work a variety of 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts, including weekends. Responsibilities include supervision and direction of the residents in a residential youth care facility. Will serve as a role model for youth and document daily residential progress. Child supervision at summer camps or church groups is helpful. Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid operator’s license. Must have a high school diploma or GED. Candidates will be required to submit to a criminal history check.
